I just finished watching a long awaited movie I've been dying to watch produced by Oprah called 'Precious'. The story of a 16 year old African American girl who had 2 children resulting after her father raped her and gave her HIV/AIDS and living with an abusive mother who does not condone school but chooses welfare. The story is about Precious and the alternate world she likes to live in during times of trouble in her life and how she struggles to cope with her second pregnancy, alternate school and learning that people really do love her.

The movie stars Mariah Carey (who surprised many people including myself) as a very touching and less glamorous version of a counsellor/social worker.

This movie was just another reason more to why I should appreciate my life more. Of course the idea of this movie and its affect will have worn off on me in a few days or longer, but its content and the reality behind this story is that there are many people whose lives are just as or even more difficult than the life of Precious. It has reminded me to be more grateful for what I have.

Although I may sometimes be filled with hate or anger towards friends or family, I always try to remember that I am lucky to have them in my life. For support, for laughs and for moments in need.

I just thought about my new years resolution maybe to hang out more with my family but I think that might be a bit of a struggle considering they still see me as a child. But, I think I have found a NYR that will benefit everyone...learn how to cook - I know right WTF. But, I guess I really should start worrying about the rest of my life and how I would survive :|

I actually started yesterday learning how to cook - BEEF STEAK woo woo hahah with my mum. I think she thoroughly found in intriguing with my enthusiasm to learn. She's probably wondering how long this will last..

and today I hung out with Kaye :) and we had lunch and it was awesome all that MSG and oiliness hahaha... then long and behold we bumped into SONJAEEEEEEEEEEE <3
who came to cabra to get her infected piercing LOL checked out by Joe who does NOT LOOK LIKE HIS LATE 30'S THATS A LIE! And believe it or not I actually considered dermals for a second... and then Sonjae wiped it clean out of my mind hahaha

one I may have considered...




And we bummed around cabra waiting for my baby...and then the girls left and I had an awesome time catching up with them :D


oh yea ... WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO haha and only few of you know what that means :)

A movie I desperately want to watch after seeing Oprah plug it numerous times on her show is believe it or not - a movie starring Mariah Carey wtf BUT great story line and hopefully a great move is
